 - Testosterone (both men and women need to have enough)

 - Progesterone (essential for fertility and in perimenopause)

 - DHEA (a sex hormone precursor)

 - Free and Metabolised Cortisol (health and output of your adrenal glands)

 - Melatonin (an antioxidant that helps you sleep and more)

 - Methylation activity (a marker of detoxification)

 - Plus insight into neurotransmitters, nutritional status, organic acids, toxicity, gut health marker, oxidative stress markers and more!

So we can assess YOUR biochemistry.

Why should I get a DUTCH test?

Some clients have visited the GP and some have not achieved the information or hormone balance they have been looking for.

What extra the Dutch hormone test does:

  • hormone blood tests (which we also run in conjunction) do not measure how the body is processing or detoxing hormones such as oestrogen - this is important because we need to see that you’re going down a safe pathway or that one is not to oestrogenic (too much oestrogen)

  • testing cortisol, blood only provides a snapshot in time, whereas urine follows a circadian rhythm which is essential to note when comparing cortisol levels, it also tests metabolised cortisol so overall production rather than just free cortisol

  • the medical model simply does not have time to work with the individual from a whole health perspective - we address your nutrition, lifestyle, stressors, gut, liver, detox, sleep, movement, mineral imbalances, nervous system regulation, and more

Comparing hormone blood with hormone urine levels

Urinary levels can be influenced by metabolism. Urine is a filtrate of circulating blood levels and is therefore deemed to correlate with blood. However, it is helpful to measure both sample types to assess potential metabolism issues. Having both sample types offers us a deeper layer of insight so we can support you.
