The Barleycorn Clinic roles
1. Registered Nurse Practitioner Prescriber (RN/NMP):
Regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), a government professional statutory body. This role also includes providing medical aesthetics services.

2. Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (FDN-P):
We do not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any disease or condition, nor do we substitute the care of your physician. Instead, we partner with our clients to offer ongoing support and accountability through an opt-in model of self-care to optimize healing opportunities, which may include referrals to appropriate agencies.

Through health consultations, dietary and lifestyle analysis, and biochemical testing, we aim to understand the underlying causes of your health issues which we will seek to address through personalised dietary therapy, nutraceutical prescription (supplements), lifestyle advice, all-in collaboration with conventional medicine. We can provide guidance and support on prescription medications and natural hormone replacement therapy, where appropriate, with sign posting to online pharmacy resources or referrals, leveraging our expertise in both functional and conventional medicine. We also provide group coaching and workshops.
Laboratory Testing
Laboratory testing is conducted to identify areas of dysfunction and opportunities for healing, aiding in the process of rebalancing the body’s systems. Test results are not intended to diagnose or treat any specific conditions and should always be discussed with a licensed physician.
