How It Works
Botulinum Toxin works by relaxing the contraction of specific facial muscles, leading to a smoother skin surface. For individuals with partial facial paralysis and synkinesis, it reduces unwanted muscle movements and alleviates tension in the facial area. When addressing jaw pain, clenching, or a wide masseter muscle, the treatment weakens the muscles enough to prevent involuntary grinding and clenching, reducing wear and tear on your teeth.
Reducing Underarm Sweating
If excessive sweating interferes with your daily activities and traditional antiperspirants are ineffective, you may be a suitable candidate for this treatment. The procedure blocks the nerves that supply the sweat glands, preventing them from producing sweat. Results can last 6 to 9 months.
